This gorgeous box measures 4.5" L, 3" D, and 4" H (the lid alone is a whopping 1.75") It features Joyce Francis' hand carved flowers on all sides but also has unusual external flower carvings on all four corners of the lid. It is slightly longer and also stands higher than the usual jumbo mini. Joyce Francis is a Manhattan based artist who hand carves Lucite using twenty five different sized dentist drills in a medium referred to as "cold carving". She is self-taught. Each box or bag is a one of a kind piece of art and they are all exclusive works for the store Blue Tree. There are no embedded objects in any of her work. Joyce's purses are in the permanent collection of costume exhibits at both the Victoria Albert Museum of London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
